Jesus is trying to teach us to deal with the issue in its roots

Murder begins in the heart. Very often it is an anger issue that resides deep within.

Jesus exhorts us that if we deal with the anger issue from within, make our hearts right, murder will be far from us.

5) Love God, Love Yourself and Love Your Neighbour

There are three things that Jesus taught us here.

i. Love God

How is that being expressed?

ii. Love yourself

Another way to love yourself is to allow yourself to receive love.

iii. Love your neighbour

Your pastor is not a sin-detector

A genuine love for God is expressed through our love for others. Spiritual maturity is not head knowledge. It has to be expressed. It is has to be shown.
