Sound theology has a way of taking a great load off ur mind

In contemporary churches there is an issue of placing subjective experiences as fundamental theology

We are the summation of our past experiences

There is great danger when we make our personal, subjective experiences the standard for our leadership and development

You must verify things, to have conviction for your own faith

Acts 19:11

No programs, activities and preaching can substitute your devotion to the Lord

Church and its experiences are only bridges to connect to God

Our theology of God, our understanding of God, influences our conduct and our way of life

Everything taken to the extreme becomes error

Balance is the key to life

1) Man shall not live by experiences alone

3 basic signposts for guidance
a) the Word of God
b) peace of the Holy Spirit
c) external confirmation

Not praying in tongues doesn't mean ur not Christian

2) man shall not live by anointing alone

Having God guide you directly or giving you shortcuts is fine sometimes, but overdone, you will not develop

There must be balance between gifts of the Holy Spirit and the anointing of God

3) man shall not live by "I" alone

More money doesn't give you warmer homes, a parents love, or spirituality

We become superficial in our faith without a deep theological foundation

Other denominations criticize charismatics for having zeal and passion without knowledge, sometimes it is true

The art of this crisis is an anthropocentric worldview that corrupts our whole orientation

How true is it that even when praying. we focus on the sacrifices we make, the efforts we make, instead of what God has done for us

We even read the bible for answers, not just to learn

We need to change, its time for us to find a balance

We regard God as an airman regards his parachute. It is there for emergencies, but the airman hopes he will never have to use it
