Building a strong heart: A man after God's own heart

The heart is the core of all wisdom and the source of whatever affects our speech, sight and conduct
It is the condition of the heart

Sometimes the only to encourage you is you
The ability to encourage ourselves is the key to promotion in life
Two primary aspects of David's life before he was anointed king over Israel:
1) David's pursuit of God was motivated by nth but the desire to know God
2) David's battles against the lion and bear revealed his heart for God becuz he relied completely on God for victor
Half obedience is disobedience
Without a strong heart we can be winning the public battles, yet we find ourselves losing the private battles of life
