I just watched The Exorcism of Emily Rose on my laptop. It's the true story about a girl who was possessed by six demons and had a failed exorcism, which was revealed to be a testimony that demons were real, and ultimately God is real too. As she put it: People say that God is dead. But how can they think that if I show them the devil? God allows suffering to happen because with our lives as evidence and plenty of evidence from history, hardships to mold us, strengthen us and change us to become better people. Strengthening our faith when we overcome these obstacles is something God does. Over time, I have went through so much and I thought how I could be "forsaken" in a sense. Yet He proves me wrong over and over again of my presumptions, and shows how He works miracles in my life. He shows so much of what He promised and said He is like in the Bible. God uses Satan to His own advantage many times, but Satan does win sometimes. The war between good and evil is over, but Satan is still battling on, to drag as many people as he can away from the faith.

He can do it in different ways. My friend Gary seems to have frequent encounters with spirits and demons. Whether its spirits in him or demonic attacks, it seems to be Satan's preference from what I see. Satan doesn't use those with me though. I had three spirits within me last time, cast out. Plus, I had one demonic attack where I was choked and couldn't breathe. Yet when I jerked awake and prayed, I slept better and just knew in my heart I was safe. Two attempts at spiritual forces? That's it? I went to sleep one night, saying out loud, "Satan, try me." And nothing happened. Seems like Satan doesn't want to try demonic attacks against me. I have to be honest, I did want to experience something, because I know I would not lose with God. Yet nothing happened. Satan is extremely smart, so I suppose by not attacking me with demons when I openly challenged him, he knows my weaknesses lie somewhere else, not in the realm of demonic attacks or spiritual encounters with evil spirits.

But here's a revelation for you. A spirit of fear is a fearful demon, and when it attacks or latches on, it gives you fear, because it itself is fearful. A spirit of infirmity is a very sick spirit, an infirmed spirit. When it dwells within someone, they are sick, because the demon is sick. Thus, it shows that these demons are weaker than they appear to be. They are their very weakness. Even Lucifer, the devil himself, will be thrown into hell, and you know what the believers in heaven will say when they see him? Isaiah records it: "Is this the one who caused the earth to tremble?" Do you see the kind of expression we have? Look at the smug words we say. Look at how sarcastic the words are. Satan may be smart, be he was cast out of heaven and lost the glory with which God created him. When we see him the words we say are "Is this the one who caused the earth to tremble?" It's like "That's him? Thats it?" Indeed, that's it.

Hope this frees you from what thoughts you might have about demons and spirits.
